Early Action Applications Climb in Second Year

The second year of Early Action decisions by Undergraduate Admissions marked a 16% increase, with 37,639 early action applications.

Of those students, 22,090 students were offered admission Friday, Dec. 5, a 22.5% increase over last year’s inaugural launch cycle. This class of applicants represents more than 800 Florida high schools, all 50 states, 44 countries and, on average, hold a 4.35 GPA, 1370 SAT, 30.3 ACT, and 98.4 CLT.

Early Action was introduced last year at UCF as an optional, non-binding process for first-time-in-college students seeking earlier decisions.

“Early Action continues to prove its popularity with these numbers,” says Admissions Communications Director Chris Dahlstrand. “We’re excited to see these numbers continue to grow.”

Applications remain open for future Knights hoping for enrollment in the 2026–27 academic year, with regular admission review beginning in January.
