Posted Thursday, July 17, 2025 @ 2:14 PM As Fall 2025 approaches, Housing and Residence Life is celebrating a successful series of summer student events and hosting just a few more before the season closes. A highlight of the season was Success Fest, led by Tyler Davis and Jammal Cooks, which drew over 177 students for an engaging campus resource fair. Featuring campus partners from across the university, the event included food, prizes, and a “resource passport” activity that encouraged students to learn more about available support services. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, not only from students, but also from parents and campus partners who praised the event’s energy and impact. Social media buzzed with appreciation, with several parents expressing how grateful they were for the warm welcome their students received. Meanwhile, the RHA Summer Series, organized by Kelsie Dillard, Jasmine Collins, and Aaliyah Brown, continued to bring students together with three well-attended events: Welcome Summer Splash (June 22) brought over 500 students to the RWC leisure pool for sun and fun. Treats and Trivia (July 9) drew more than 200 students for an evening of snacks and friendly competition. Relax and Recharge (July 17) offered wellness-themed crafts and calming activities to help students de-stress. The summer fun isn’t over yet—students are invited to cap off the season at the Summer Send-Off Splash Party on July 24 from 1-3:30 pm at the RWC leisure pool. Back by popular demand, this event promises a high-energy celebration to end the summer on a high note. Like Tweet Share < Back to News
