Successful Move-In Posted Wednesday, July 2, 2025 @ 2:17 PM By Arian Bryant Despite a four-hour thunderstorm, our Summer B move-in over June 20-21 was an overwhelming success. Thanks to the patience, understanding, and good cheer of students, families, and staff. Clear communication before arrival Emails and website updates prepared our new Knights for what to expect. Residents selected move-in appointments in advance and stuck to their times, which greatly reduced congestion˜kudos to our students and their families! Efficient move-in execution The Move-In Team welcomed more than 1,400 first-time-in-college students across Hercules and Neptune, along with smaller numbers in other communities, on June 20–21 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Outstanding cross-campus partnership Mrs. Ali Santilli and I represented the Housing & Residence Life Operations Committee in planning sessions with a dedicated roster of university partners and vendors, including: Victor Santos and Miguel Guzmán (Parking Services) Sgt. Ethan Temperato, and Ofc. Nelson Mendez To Our UCF Police Department Partners Yours is a job that often receives less thanks than it deserves so let this be one of them. Thank you for showing up with presence, professionalism, and purpose during our Summer B Move-In. It was hot, but you kept it cool; offering reassurance, guidance, and a steady hand that made a world of difference. Your impact was felt by students, families, and staff alike, and the feedback we have been receiving speaks volumes: this was one of the smoothest, most well-supported move-ins we’ve had. We couldn’t do what we do without knowing you’re there, keeping a watchful eye and ensuring everyone’s safety. Thank you again for helping us start the summer strong. See you in the fall! Signature Program – RHA Summer Splash Approximately 500 residential Summer B students attended the program. The Residence Hall Association˜led by Assistant Director Jasmine Collins, Coordinator Kelsie Dillard, and graduate assistants Taria Sadek and Carly Berthiaume˜hosted a terrific welcome event. Special thanks to Associate Director Gordon Adams, Marketing Manager Taylor Torres-Griffin, and team members Kelsey Ferguson and Maggie Duckworth for their stellar promotional work.
