David Pavlonnis

David Pavlonnis has over 27 years of professional experience in higher education.  Throughout his career, he has held a variety of roles in Housing and Residence Life, academic advising, and other traditional student affairs areas, including Student Activities and Student Government. He has also taught leadership and student success courses and has presented at regional, state and national conferences.

In his current role, Mr. Pavlonnis serves as the Finance/Budget Director for the Division of Student Success and Well-Being, where he provides leadership and strategic oversight for the fiscal, budget and technology operations. His oversight includes more than $170M in recurring funding, supporting 30 departments and over 2,000 full and part-time employees.

Mr. Pavlonnis earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Education and his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee.
